True Sounds was founded as a soundsytem in 1994, organising parties in and around Norfolk and Suffolk. Over the years the soundsystem has grown and in 2000 launched itself as an online record shop and PA hire company.

This year the company has been undergoing massive changes, and is now established as a record label: In June True Records released two 12" inch vinyls in the reggae genre, "Warrior" and "Learn to Cook/Jah Keeps I" collaborations with Chanter, Gideon Zinger, I Will and Sandeeno. Since completing "Warrior" and "Learn to Cook/Jah Keeps I", Jah Grasshopper has been back in the studio, this time with Jah Mason and Capleton.
